Suddenly, fic!
This is so weird. I haven't posted fanfic in years (perfectly obvious reason being I haven't written it). But lately I am being tempted by drabbles because: short! I have kind of been freaking out because by OOS has resulted in me writing very little and it is disturbing me. I am using this account... because I like to be all over the place. I set it up to read [info]limyaael now she has left lj and empty page=sad (can you tell it is late). So! Death Note drabble!

Title: February 14
Fandom: Death Note
Rating: PG
Prompt: Loneliness, for [info]prompt_100
Words: 100

February 14

It's not really a surprise for Mogi to find her like this. Remembering - over a year back now - when Matsuda had told her. The terrible look in her eyes. Having to hold her back, stop her from hurting anyone...

Then not being able to stop her own hurt.

He calls 119 even though he knows: she's dead. Misa-Misa's dead. He can see it in the papers already - a footnote, soon forgotten.

He'd tried. But when you're all that's left to try...

After Light was gone, just having someone to play cards with was never going to be enough.
